DAVINA BURCH
vice president of business development for E-magine Interactive, Inc.
has more than 14 years experience both as a professional writer and as
a marketing consultant.
Ms. Burch, a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree
in journalism, began her professional career as a technical writer and
marketing specialist for one of the Florida Department of Transportation's
leading civil engineering consultants. From there, she moved on to become
the public relations manager for central Florida's largest single-office
law firm, Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A., then, in
1996 / 97, started her own marketing consulting business, Burch &
Associates.
Just prior to joining Mr. Frederick to establish E-magine Interactive
under its new name, Ms. Burch worked with an interactive marketing agency,
Knight Images. She was the seventh person and the first writer to be hired
with the firm. In the four years she was there, Ms. Burch was promoted
to the five-person management team, helping to grow the company to 23-plus
employees, and from annual billings of $50,000 to annual billings of $2
million. Along the way, she established and managed a publications division
for the firm, launching four publications. Among these: a quarterly, four-color,
80 page magazine distributed nationally to a readership of 135,000; and
a local monthly newspaper for the largest Chamber of Commerce in Florida.
In addition to founding the publications division, Ms. Burch served as
the lead writer, developing creative concepts and copy for everything
from brochures, to advertisements, to Web sites, community portals and
e-commerce sites to direct mail pieces. She also coached and managed a
team of writers. Just prior to leaving the firm in 2000, Ms. Burch established
a new division of the company to provide public relations services for
select clients. She managed accounts and was involved in developing marketing
materials, including Web sites, for such notable clients as Hughes
Supply, a national wholesale distributor of construction and industrial
materials with $3 billion in annual sales; Orlando
Regional Chamber of Commerce, central Florida's largest pro-business
organization with more than 8,500 members; the University
of Central Florida Alumni Association, the alumni association for
leading technological university in the state; and A. Duda
& Sons, the largest celery grower and distributor in the world.
For E-magine Interactive, Inc., Ms. Burch wears two hats. As the vice
president of business development and a key stakeholder in the company,
she develops marketing strategy, oversees sales and marketing implementation,
and assists in the overall operations of the company. Additionally, Ms.
Burch lends her marketing and writing expertise to help Web development
and e-commerce clients get the most out of their Web sites.
TODD CROTTS,
chief technical officer, has been with E-magine Interactive, Inc. since
its inception. His career in technology spans more than a dozen years.
During that time, he has worked with companies including AT&T, CBC
Systems of Winter Park, Net Prophets, Net Passage and Duro Communications
(parent company of MPINet).
At Net Passage, Mr. Crotts served as the vice president of technical operations
with responsibility for all the routers, LANs, WANs, hardware, software,
telco systems, channel banks, Access servers, firewalls, modems, UNIX
administration and application development projects. Perhaps the most
notable project he managed while with Net Passage was the set-up, implementation
of an ISP in Moscow, Russia, and the installation of a microwave Internet
and LAN links for the University of Moscow. Other significant clients
included Correct
Craft, INNternational,
The Orlando Sentinel,
Selective
Singles and WCPX.
In 1999, Mr. Crotts moved on to Duro Communications, where he worked as
the Director of NT Operations for 49 ISPs in nine states. In this position,
Mr. Crotts was responsible for NT server farms and integration of all
acquired ISPs. He managed the replacement of antiquated equipment and
migrated most systems into larger NOCs in the Duro backbone, then standardized
all server installation, and hardware and software configurations. In
addition, he was responsible for all network mapping and discovery, and
security (firewalls). Mr. Crotts ran the day-to-day operations for the
nine-state region, with 15 employees reporting directly to him and about
75 NT machines under his direct responsibility. High profile clients included
country music diva Crystal
Gayle, The
Real Estate Channel, Orlando
Predators, Mears
Leasing and Air
Philippines.
As E-magine's vice president of technical services, Mr. Crotts is responsible
for the planning, implementation, security and maintenance of all the
company's servers, including NT and Citrix units. Additionally, he provides
complex backend programming capabilities on all Web development projects,
and manages and implements system integration projects as well.
CHRIS ANDERSON, creative
director for e-magine interactive, has been designing interfaces for web
sites and software applications for six years. Chris got his first design
experience working on a client/server computerized medical records system
to streamline the communication of patient information between doctors
offices, and in a relatively short period of time had a system that was
competing with those from much larger companies in the same market. Later,
Chris moved to San Francisco and became one of the key designers at the
former BigWords.com, an industry-leading San Francisco-based e-commerce
company that sold textbooks to college students over the internet. At
it's peak, BigWords had nearly $20M in annual revenues, was the most popular
site in its category (due largely to the work of the design team), and
was beating its competition in nearly every web metric. After BigWords,
Chris co-founded an interactive design / brand strategy agency in San
Francisco, which had clients who included Sears, Apple, Porsche and Playtex.
Chris is excited to be working with e-magine interactive and bringing
his design sensibilities to the Central Florida marketplace.
SOLUTIONS
& SATISFACTION CLIENT SERVICE COMMITMENT
The central Florida
market is flooded with technology service providers (TSPs) offering computer
network integration services, e-commerce solutions, programming, Web site
development, connectivity and other Internet services. And, yet, customers
still clamor for technological advances faster than most TSPs can provide
them.
At E-magine Interactive, our goal is to provide an unparalleled level
of client service. Through initiatives like our Solutions & Satisfaction
commitment, we hope to build consumer trust in our company and in the
industry. This written commitment, provided to each new client, is the
first of many action steps we will take in the coming year to distinguish
E-magine Interactive, Inc. as a leader in central Florida's technology
community.
At E-magine Interactive, we commit:
- For all clients, if we are
not available immediately by phone, our technicians will return calls
within one hour.
- For all local network system
integration clients who require service that cannot be handled remotely,
we commit to have a service technician on-site within four hours for
all requests placed before 2 p.m. Those (non-emergency) requests made
after 2 p.m. will be addressed no later than the next morning.
- For all network system integration
clients, E-magine Interactive commits to planning the best solution
for your business or organization - not necessarily the most costly
solution. With more than 16 years experience in the computer technology
industry, our team believes that solid, long-term business relationships
are built on helping our clients run their companies or organizations
more effectively and efficiently, not overselling products and services
they do not need.
- For all Web hosting clients,
whether you need standard hosting, dedicated hosting or collocation
services, we commit to a 24-hour turn around time on new domain names
and a 48-hour turnaround time on site transfers (given the complete
cooperation of former providers).
- For all standard Web site development
clients, E-magine Interactive commits to timely turnaround on all sites,
provided that all client information is supplied within the agreed upon
schedule and pending timely client approvals.
- For all contract clients, we
commit to proactively support our services.
- For all clients, we commit
to provide reliable service at competitive prices; to help find the
best solution, considering all factors; and to do so in a timely fashion
